Description Unknown 2002-08-03 09:18:33 UTC
When editing a web page, no matter what I do, I can't set the margins of the
page to 0. I even went in the code and put in the following line with notepad :

<body LANG="en-US" leftmargin=0 topmargin=0 rightmargin=0 marginwidth="0"
marginheight="0" >

The page looks like I want it to and loads into Ooo fine. However, once I make
any change in Ooo, all the margin settings are gone. How do I get Ooo to create
an html page with 0 for the page margins?

Thanks for posting Shane.

Shane would like to be able to change the page margins via the margin
arguements leftmargin, topmargin, rightmargin, marginwidth,
marginheight for the BODY tag.

Shane, in the future, you should post your request for support to the
users mailing list.

My workaround for your request is to do the following.

1. When using the OO 1.0.1 HTML editor, make all the changes
you require, saving as often as you like.

2. Before your final save operation, switch over to HTML
source mode and add the arguements to the body tag that
you need ( ie leftmargin etc ).

It is crucial that you edit the source as the last step. Anytime
you make changes in the regular viewing mode, your body tag
modifications will be lost.

SBA->ES: Enhancement or defect? I adjusted the title to match the
current findings.

Well, it's obviously a bug but I'm affraid it is a 'concept bug' which
has something to do with the HTML WYSIWYG view of Writer Web...
So, I leave it has enhancement.

Hello Michael, I consider this as a defect, so it is changed on your
owner.
Comment 5 michael.brauer 2003-11-11 14:04:40 UTC
It is not a defact, but a missing feature. Writer/Web and the HTML
filter currently do not support to change the margins of the document.

Since HTML is not part of the Q-PCD, "OOo Later" seems to be the
apropriate target.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
