Description terrynorth 2006-07-20 11:21:01 UTC
In two spreadsheets, I have several times amended a cell style from the number
format #,##0.000;[RED]-#,##0.000 to the format #,##0.00#;[RED]-#,##0.00#

The change is effective while the spreadsheet remains open but the format has
vanished completely when the spreadsheet is reopened. Thus, it is impossible to
document this defect. Similar problems have been reported in the forums and I
suspect other issues have been filed but my search does not reveal them.

There is a standard format 0.###;[BLACK]-0.### but, when I try to amend that to
show negative values in red, the selector switches to the standard format
0.000;[RED]-0.000 which does not serve the purpose, which is to show the third
decimal place only if it does not equal zero.

@terrynorth:
Please contribute a simple step by step instruction how to reproduce the issue
It should look like
1. open new spreadsheet
2. set format for all fields to ....
3. Input "12,3" to A1
4. ...
