Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 68211
let CVS wrapper recognize OASIS extensions as binary files
Last modified: 2006-09-05 14:46:40 UTC
http://specs.openoffice.org/appwide/toolbars/Toolbar_content_spec.odt is the most recent victim (which I know of) of the new-files-are-text-files mechanism in CVS. That is, this file was checked in without the -kb flag, so it's recognized as text file, which means it's corrupted on checkout. (Interestingly, downloading from the website does not corrupt it). Since OASIS formats are widely used nowadays, the CVS wrapper could recognize their respective extensions and automatically add the -kb flag upon checkin.
Martin, could you please request CN to add the following lines to CVSROOT/cvswrappers? Sun internal server has already these lines. Frank, is this list complete? *.odf -k 'b' *.odg -k 'b' *.ods -k 'b' *.odp -k 'b' *.odt -k 'b' *.otg -k 'b' *.ots -k 'b' *.otp -k 'b' *.ott -k 'b'
please also add *.odb -k 'b' Thanks.
