Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 6969
OpenOffice fails under GNOME
Last modified: 2012-01-31 01:00:18 UTC
Hello I noticed that using OO under GNOME is impossible for normal users. Only using it under KDE is possible. The problem is that after a first successfull starting, then normal user can see just the logo and a quick application window that crashes after a little while. It could be a GNOME bug but I like to report to you. A second problem is that I cannot see/print Euro symbol with OO.
i recommend you only mention one issue per report there are various known issue with Gnome, i am not familiar with them myself but they can be worked around a quick search on google should turn up something, a gnome user group might be able to provide helpful advice.
Please, Marco, don't use the www component of the it lang project to report issues related to technical aspects of OOo. This component should be used for issues releated to the online Italian Web site, mailing lists, etc only. You may post to utenti@it.openoffice.org or discussioni@it.openoffice.org before using IssueZilla, just to be sure whether yours is a known bug or not. Thanks.
Reassign issue to owner of selected subcomponent
Wrong component assignment, issue set to invalid
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
