Description rene 2002-08-17 18:17:18 UTC
Hi,

I wanted to use "Small Caps", but I do not find them
in OpenOffice.org's font setting options.

I think it would make sense to implement that.

I just about knew what you meant, i have heard this called ALL CAPS
font.
it helps to be very clear and describe exactly what you mean in case
developers are not familiar with the feature you are requesting.

This bug is INVALID, if you agree please change it.

Choose Format, Character, Font Effect, and on the upper right there is
a drop down menu for Effects from which you need to choose Small Caps.

I think anyone interested in Usability could look at bugs that have
been marked as invalid and see that users are confused by the
interface of open office. their expectations from their use of other
office suites make it hard for them to find features that do already
exist.

I have a general feeling that the Open Office User Inteface puts many
features too deep, but i guess this bug report is an innappropriate
place to discuss usability issues.
I guess i should create a few bug reports to address this and use the
issues requesting features that already exist as evidence to backup my
suggestions.

Yes, you're right....

I have not seen it....
Comment 3 rene 2002-09-05 03:31:25 UTC
I reopen it;

in the "normal" eord processor it is there, but I wanted to but this
style into a text box (this thing was for designing a bizcard which
exact positions of logo and texts)..

So it should be implemented in this situation also....

please change the summary so that it actually explains what you want done about "small caps".

You want to do something with Small Caps and styles?
Please explain more clearly.

Added issue 4682 as a duplicate of this issue.

In issue 4682 the general theme is the request for a button for the
Small Caps font feature.
