Description lars.langhans 2006-10-27 07:15:59 UTC
Within Windows XP there exists a new UI design, the Common Controls from
comctl32.dll are viewable in the new design if a special manifest file exists.
This is only need for platform dependent code for Windows, like FileOpenDialog.

This manifest file is also need by Vista, to show the new design.

It could be possible that this manifest file create substantive side effects to
other code, so please hold this back in mind.

The manifest file will be attached.

Place the soffice.bin.manifest file in the program folder near by soffice.bin.

Comment 3 lars.langhans 2006-10-27 07:21:23 UTC
Change status to 'Started'.
Comment 4 lars.langhans 2006-11-08 10:01:47 UTC
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:
Must not deliver into the bin directory, which will destroy the .net port of OOo.

In desktop already exists a soffice.exe.manifest file. You can use an equivalent
process for the new soffice.bin.manifest file. You can deliver it into
solver/bin but don't copy it into desktop/wntmsci10[.pro]/bin . The linker of VS
.Net 2005 (wntmsci11) automatically generates manifest files there.

We need a soffice.bin.manifest, not the soffice.exe.manifest here. Or we get
only the old Win98 controls.
