Hi,
if you
*open the edit menu
*select 'find & replace' 
*do 'change all',
then, after closing the dialog box, cursor is placed at the same position of the
latest change. It would be better if it remained at the initial position instead.

No patch attached so this has to be an enhancement. In that case the component
and subcomponent need changing. Since find/replace all parts of OOo, I think
framework is likely the best choice. It is not documentation as the doc project
only reflects what exists.
