I've got problem opening a document directly from my windows server. Open Office
would just run, and then close itself.
 
I notice that this only happens if my server name has an underscore, eg.
achieva_server. Did the same thing on server named ADC, and has no problem.
 
The workaround I have is to map a network drive to that server directory. I'm
not sure if this info is useful to you and whether this can be fixed in future
versions.
 
I'm running OOo 2.1.
