Description klucko 2006-12-21 14:45:43 UTC
Initially this problem happened first in 2.1 writer under windows XP
in opened document just deleted two or three rows between two tables to save
space, when the writer stopped to respond
First it was .doc file document which i tried to edit, after 3 crashes and
recovery of the file I saved it in default .odt format before editing, but same
happened
rebooted to ubuntu, was trying to edit without crash but neither the .doc
neither the .odt file i maneged to

I checked 'chemia.odt' with "2.1.0 German version WIN XP: [680m6(Build9095)]"
on my laptop. Unfortunately the document always causes a hang, so that I was not
able to do further tests :-(

My PC
CPU Amd Sempron 3200+, 1600 MHz (8 x 200)
Motherboard Name FUJITSU SIEMENS AMILO Pa 1510
Motherboard Chipset Unknown
RAM 896 MB
BIOS Phoenix (06/20/06)

Graphic Card ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 (128 MB)

No problem on my desktop with "2.0.2 German version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9011)]"
Comment 3 Rainer Bielefeld 2006-12-21 16:58:37 UTC
After I deleted last 20 pages from the document I tried again on my laptop with
"2.1.0 German version WIN XP: [680m6(Build9095)]". Now I was able to test and I
was not able to reproduce the problem.

MRU->FME/OD: open attached odt -> loop. The document consists of about 200
tables which follow each other directly without any floating text in between.

No problems opening attached file also after deleting many rows between the tables.

OOo 2.1, WinXP Home SP2

Happens to me as well - soffice.bin starts to consume 100% of CPU time and OO
becomes unresponsive when this file is opened.

Dear developers,
any chance of targeting this issue for 2.2.1 or 2.3?
Thanks a lot for your attention.
Comment 8 frank.meies 2007-05-14 14:18:52 UTC
fme->mru: Works for me with current SRC680m210. Please verify.
Comment 9 frank.meies 2007-05-14 14:42:45 UTC
fme->mru: Sorry, now I can reproduce this issue.
Comment 10 kpalagin 2007-05-14 14:51:47 UTC
Using m211 document _opens_, but hungs in a minute or so with 100% CPU usage.
Comment 11 jolatt 2007-05-14 15:36:58 UTC
Works for me with OOo 2.2.1 RC1 under WinXP SP2.
Comment 12 frank.meies 2007-08-23 15:51:29 UTC
Looks similar to i79426.
Comment 13 frank.meies 2007-09-05 08:54:23 UTC
Loop does not occur anymore due to the implementation of some general loop
controls in the Writer layout engine, see issue 81146.
Comment 14 frank.meies 2007-09-10 13:38:33 UTC
fme->mru: Ready for QA.
Comment 15 michael.ruess 2007-09-17 14:05:57 UTC
Verified in CWS loopcontrol.
Comment 16 michael.ruess 2007-11-05 12:46:52 UTC
Checked fix in OO 2.4 dev build 680m235.
