Comment 2 maison.godard 2007-01-06 17:40:38 UTC
what is the error ?
Comment 3 nmailhot 2007-01-06 18:01:27 UTC
IIRC it complains about invalid dic pack when fed the .zip file (local not
remote mode)
Comment 4 maison.godard 2007-01-08 07:50:02 UTC
this is a normal behaviour

first, fr_FR-1990.zip is not a pack file - see
http://ftp.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/contrib/dictionaries/dicooo
second, you do not have to unzip the file, DicOOo will do it
Comment 5 maison.godard 2007-01-08 07:50:33 UTC
invalid
Comment 6 nmailhot 2007-01-08 08:53:18 UTC
I don't *want* to unzip the file.
I want the openoffice ressource published on the openoffice site to be
processable by the openoffice tool dedicated to this kind of openoffice ressource

Now the problem may not be in the openoffice tool but in the openoffice
ressource, but anyway that's a problem openoffice-side
Comment 7 maison.godard 2007-01-08 11:13:44 UTC
this issue is invalid

off line packs are different from online packs

where is it stated you have to retreive the fr_FR-1990.zip file ?
please read http://fr.openoffice.org/DicOOo/index_dicooo.htm (as you're french)
Comment 8 nmailhot 2007-01-08 11:45:41 UTC
1. I have to use off-line install because OO.o does not play well with the corp
proxy
2. http://fr.openoffice.org/DicOOo/index_dicooo.htm links to
http://lingucomponent.openoffice.org/download_dictionary.html#dictpack that in
turns links there http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Dictionaries, where
the fr_FR-1990.zip is referenced

By all means if you feel the problem is not dicooo reassign to the relevant
Openoffice.org entity, but do not close the issue just because you don't feel
concerned. All this stuff is on OpenOffice servers

once again, fr_FR_1990.zip is NOT an offline pack !

The page dicooo page explicitelly says
"Gère l'installation hors ligne par l'intermédiaire de packs. Le pack français
est disponible *ici*. D'autres packs sont à disposition sur le projet
Lingucomponent."

and *ici* points to
http://ftp.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/contrib/dictionaries/dicooo/PackFrench.zip

moreover, reading the wiki, you'll see a *pack* link in french section
other zip files are given for manual installation (so without any help of DicOOo)

and guess what, i'm concerned by this ...

"The spelling files for French (France) Réforme 1990 are not installable by the
dictoo macro"

is an invalid statement

I close this issue as INVALID

Comment 12 nmailhot 2007-01-08 12:47:29 UTC
I don't want to enter in a pissing match, I want stuff to work for users
Comment 13 maison.godard 2007-01-08 13:14:27 UTC
once again it is a wrong statement as these dictionaries are installable in OOo
using DicOOo or manually by modifying yourself the dictionary.lst file

@Sophie, i let you explain him and do what you want with the status.
For me it is INVALID but i won't modify the status

@nmailhot, usually we try to avoid changing the subject of an issue
