Description alan 2007-01-07 09:14:03 UTC
The cursor position seems to be slightly off when text direction is RTL. In the
attached screenshots, there are two lines of text. The first line has text with
LTR text direction, and the cursor is clearly to the right of the period. The
second line has the same text with RTL text direction, and the cursor completely
covers the period. This has led to some confusion about whether the cursor
position is "really" before the period or after.

Reassigned to SBA.

SBA->FME: As discussed, it looks font dependant.
It can be seen with characters in western Text, too.
 - Insert some Text, say "Tool. Tonnnn. Tommmm. And. Jerry."
 - Move cursor around the periods with the arrow keys
 - Change text direction to RTL
 - Move cursor as above and compare
-> In RTL-Text direction, the cursor lies over "bigger" parts of the characters.
On my Win2000, it is good to be seen with Font "Arial" and the letters n, l and d.
