Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 74353
WW8: "Keep with next" initially not formatted correctly
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
I have a document that has a signiture block at the end of the document. The signiture block has all the lines set to keep with next. When importing either in RTF or DOC, OpenOffice happily breaks the signiture block in half. If you highlight the lines of the signiture they show as keep with next and do not split paragraph are set. If I go in to the document afterwards and put one blank line in, it seems to notice and kick the whole signiture to the next page. However, if you delete that blank line, it splits it again in a different place. I will attach a zip file with the DOC and RTF document showing this behavior. I did see a lot of issues with keep with next but none of them were for import. I don't know if this is simply another case of the more general problems with keep with next or if this is something different for import.
Created attachment 42867 [details] DOC and RTF file with signiture set to keep with next and OOo breaks it in half anyway on import
Confirming with 2.1 and 2.2m5.
MRU->FME: the paragraphs at the end of the document (beginning "Sincerely..." are initially not formatted correctly respecting their "keep" attribute. They are splitted across the page break, which shouldn't be. The problem could be workarounded by entereing a paragraph break right above "Sincerely" and clicking "Undo" button.
