In a drawing with lots of scaled bitmap images, having the page pane open uses
so much CPU power that the application becomes unusable.

It seems that the scaling of bitmaps for the sidepane is very inefficient.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Insert a couple of 3-Megapixel Photos on one slide, all scaled to fit on one
A4 page.
2. Open the page pane
3. Watch the CPU melt

Sorry, not reproducible. Do you use an offical version? Can you give some detail
to your used hardware (RAM, CPU, free disk space). Thanks in advance.

I'm using the build from ubuntu feisty on a 1GHz Celeron with 512 MB RAM. I have
a couple of GB free diskspace. Hmm, after sitting there for a while with CPU
pegged at 100% the application crashes. Maybe the OOM-Killer kicking in?
Probably not enough memory to display that many pictures at once?
