-Add an address list to the mail merge wizzard from a spreadsheet.
-change an entry in the spreadsheet or add a new entry
-run the wizzard or workaround - just click print and you will not get the 
changes in the database.

That's a problem related to databases based on Calc (I think there already is an
issue about that). For the changes to work, you need to close OOo (even the
quickstarter) and then reopen the document.
