Description tecknomage 2007-03-23 22:19:51 UTC
Trying to use the following command line to use WinXP's Send-To to open MS
Office doc as read-only. Shortcut exactly stated below:

"C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.1\program\swriter.exe" -view "%1"

This results in an error dialog stating...
"C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.1\program\%1 does not exist"

...but the program does open the file read-only after clicking [OK].

Note I've tried variations of the WinXP standard phrasing but get the same
results or acts as if "-view" switch is not there.

You would have to place shortcut to Writer in your "x:\Documents and
Settings\USERNAME\SendTo".
Shortcut should be "x:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.2\program\swriter.exe" -
view".

Resolving as WFM.

and closing.

kpalagin: Thanks, your format works.

But that makes your Help file wrong. It states the format as "-view {filename}"
