Description patewing 2007-03-27 15:25:40 UTC

First, please submit ALL your issues in ENGLISH language, so that everyone using
this issue tracker is able to understand your problem.

Second, this is possible, if I understood correctly what you desire. You need to
set (in the paragraph format) e.g. 1 cm indent before text and -1cm for first
line. Also a possibility could be to set 0 cm before and 1 cm for first line.

If it is not the case, please file a new issue describing the problem in English
language and ideally attaching a document showing the problem to this issue.
Thanks for your patience!

sorry, but I had no clue what "hängender Absatz" is in English. Your proposed
siolution does not work, since the text of the first line of the footnote also
moves back by whatsoever space you ask the programme to leave. Just as an
illustration, at the moment the footnote looks like this:

115___cf. Roberts. Science Fiction. 1, Suvin. Positions and Presuppositions
______in Science Fiction. 37, Schäfer. Science Fiction als Ideologiekritik?
______73, Puschmann-Nalenz. Science Fiction and Postmodern Fiction. 6,
______Keim. New Wave. 3, & Butler. “Postmodernism and Science
______Fiction.†144.

But it should look like this:

115 cf. Roberts. Science Fiction. 1, Suvin. Positions and Presuppositions
______in Science Fiction. 37, Schäfer. Science Fiction als Ideologiekritik?
______73, Puschmann-Nalenz. Science Fiction and Postmodern Fiction. 6,
______Keim. New Wave. 3, & Butler. “Postmodernism and Science
______Fiction.†144.

Which was definitely possible in 1.1.4.

I understand. But I can't get this working even in OO 1.1.x. Could you please
attach a sample sxw file which shows this working in OO 1.1.x? Thanks a lot.
It's because: if it worked in OO 1.x, it will be a defect. If not, it is an
Enhancement.

I think this was the file. If I am mistaking and I fixed the problem back than
with a work-around, please transfer the issue to enhancement.

No, in OO 1.1.x this was also not possible.

Desired is a convenient way to have the text in a footnote starting right next
to the footnote number but keeping the layout as a hanging indent.
