Description Stephan Bergmann 2007-04-18 10:30:25 UTC
At least on SRC680m209 unxlngi6, testtool.bin is included in the OOo
installation sets, but an appropriate testtool script (a symbolic link to the
soffice script) is missing. (The "OpenOffice.org TestTool" document, version
1.18, mentions you need to create the script manually. Why not just include it?)

Already fixed in documentation source;

You don't need the script, just take the .bin.
Exeption: MacOS X, there you need the workaround, but there it will change
sometimes, too.
If the testtool.bin doesn't work on Linux/Solaris it is a bug and using a 'cp
soffice testtool' is just a workaround.

That the naked executable does work will probably change on
<http://eis.services.openoffice.org/EIS2/cws.ShowCWS?Path=SRC680%2Fsb71> (see
<http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/ODF_Toolkit/Efforts/OOo_without_URE>
for mandatory environment variables set in start scripts). Will add a testtool
start script as necessary on that CWS then.
