Description peter.junge 2007-04-19 03:24:19 UTC
Hi,

I recommend strongly to remove header 'Disposition-Notification-To' from
incoming mails to mailing lists. This header triggers sending return receipts to
the author of the mail. I see two arguments for the need:
1) It's a privacy issue. Spammers could use this to collect mail addresses of
OOo mailing list users.
2) It's annoying. Personally I read quite a lot of mailing list and the pop-up
of a MsgBox asking to notify the sender disturbs fast progress to navigate
through a lot of mails significantly. Especially if it happens quite often.

Best regards
Peter

In the new Discussion we have options/facility to add/remove header information.
Also there is options for setting a mail list to reject the mail content based
on specific header information this can be achieved by making of use regular
expressions .

CollabNet Support is currently reviewing the issues under Resolved-Later. If the
issues are fixed currently in any of the present CEE releases, then it will be
marked as Resolved-Fixed.

There might be a few issues which might not be in our future roadmap which might
be closed as Wontfix unless it does not lie under any custom request.

This is available in CEE 5.0, hence marking as fixed.
