Description czeadmin 2007-04-27 21:05:28 UTC
It seems to me that lack of multiuser functionality is a major obstacle to Base
becoming a serious business application.

I believe I have read that multiuser functionality is planned, but I can not
find an issue on it, so I'm starting one. If anyone knows of such an issue
already, please let me know.

you can use OpenOffice.org Base as a multiuser system
if you use a database management system with multiuser functionallity.

Yes mechtilde, I understand that Base could be set up as a multiuser front end
to something like MySQL, but it would be great for Openoffice Base to be a full
blown, standalone multiuser solution.

Thanks for the reply, though. - Ron

and no response

IMO you get more problems to make Base as a multiuser application as you solve

I use OpenOffice.org for business applications in an multiuser environment

And it works fine

I wouldn't want to administrate this withthe problems which are expected with
the internal HSQL-DB
e.g for backups

so please no changes
