Description sled10guy 2007-05-02 23:28:32 UTC
NOTE: This bug was originally reported here -
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=239198

Tested Build:
Download OOo_2.2.0_LinuxIntel_install_wJRE_en-US.tar.gz package from:
http://openoffice.bouncer.osuosl.org/?product=OpenOffice.org&os=linuxintelwjre&lang=en-US&version=2.2.0

Problem -
Would it be possible to have the down arrow result in listing the next
option of a value that qualified for an auto-completion string. For example,
if in Calc I have a cell with the string ABC and another cell with the
string ABCD, then go type AB in a third cell it auto-completes with ABC but
I have to type ABCD to get that value (I'd like to have the down arrow
result in having ABCD auto-complete and another down arrow would list ABCDE
if it is available.)

You get the "Selection List" (German"Auswahlliste") with Strg-D. Is it that you
are looking for?

Hi,

something similar is possible since the beginnings of OOo. Try the TAB key.

As it is possible by just using a different key, I close this one as worksforme.

I disagree with closing as "worksforme", because it is a request for enhancement.

Providing a menu filled with AutoInput suggestions is an enhancement of the user
experience, since a menu is far easier to read than a list that the user have to
cycle through, whatever the shortcut used.
