Description rene 2007-05-14 22:37:31 UTC
after noticing issue 77363 I went on to look over libs OOo dlopen()s and noticed
libsane (which is dlopen()'ed in the tree long ago) is also GPL...

Do we agree with the FSF that dlopen() consitutes linking?

" Backend libraries are protected by the GNU General Public License (see
file COPYING), but as an exception, it is permissible to link against
such a library without affecting the licensing status of the program
that uses the libraries. For details, see the copyright notice at the
head of the backend files (e.g., backend/dll.c).
"

OK, that exception makes it OK AFAIS.

INVALID, too.
