Spanish: Files for translation update of 2.3 Attached is a .zip archive containing .sdf files to be translated. Some useful information: The .sdf files can be converted to .po files using the oo2po tool and converted back to .sdf format using the po2oo tool from the Translate Toolkit package: http://translate.sourceforge.net/ Documentation with examples for conversion and backconversion is here: http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/toolkit/oo2po Once converted the .po files back to .sdf format, don't forget to run gsicheck on the newly created .sdf files to make sure that they are not corrupted: http://ooo.services.openoffice.org/gsicheck/ Finally, please attach the new .sdf files (zipped, if possible) back to this issue and assign the issue back to petr_dudacek. A wiki page about the translation of 2.3 is under construction, a link will be posted here once the page is ready. Please note that the deadline for translation delivery is July 5. Thanks, Petr

Hi, in the archive I see: UI_93824_89_2007-06-06_34._ES.sdf - this is the UI, no problem here and HC2_93824_89_2007-06-05_34_ES.sdf 93824_HC2_2007-01-03_34_ES.sdf Does it mean that both of these helpcontent files should be imported into the translation database? Thanks for clarification, Petr
Yes, I am not sure why I end up with 3 different files as opposed to 2. But the 93824_HC2_... is actually a branch within HC2_93824...sdf it goes to the 'shared' module within helpcontent2/source/text/shared/
There are 3 errors in one of the HC2 files that I cannot fix myself (knowledge of Spanish required ;)). Attaching a small sdf file containing only these errors: The first string: The translation doesn't match the English string. The second string: The first sentence doesn't match the English one. The third string: Missing link (this can be copy&pasted from the English string, but also need the translation of the link text "Drawing Lines in Text"). Can you please fix the strings directly in the sdf file and attach it back to this issue? Thanks, Petr

Attaching files for the 2nd round of translation of 2.3. Some important notes: The deadline for submitting translated files back is July 26 at noon CEST (10:00 UTC). A new version of gsicheck is available at http://ooo.services.openoffice.org/gsicheck/ - please use this version for checking the translated sdf files before attaching them back to this issue. There's something wrong with the UI file - gsicheck reports errors in line format for all lines of the file. Seems that the tab characters are replaced with spaces, can you please have a look at it?
oh, yeah we needed to fix the sdf directly from source since they were many bugs recompiling it. I guess in the OOoCalc conversion of the SDF it broke the organization of the file. I wonder if we can just do a careful one from the source and just copy paste the 'content' column. I'll have a look at it and upload if I get it finished. Keep you posted.

Attaching a file from the first round, where translation was missing. In order to make it into 2.3, the translation needs to be ready on Tuesday, Aug 7 at latest.

Thanks petr althought I'm seen that there are many empty strings in this file. Just want to make sure you know about this. Also some strings are very code specific so I assume no translation is necesary.
I see only one empty source/translation pair, it's on lines 189 and 190 (in fact, the strings there are not empty, they contain a space character). But please let me know if you found other occurences of suspicious strings. As for the code-specific strings, yes, there are many of them that should remain untranslated. If there are cases where you are not sure whether to translate them or not, feel free to post a comment here and Maria (cc'ed) or me will try to help.

Thanks for the file. There are many errors reported by gsicheck... I was able to fix some of them manually but the other are caused by a non-matching translation of the English strings - these need to be updated. They are on lines 302, 758, 1980, 1982, 1986, 2424, 3042. I'll remove these lines from the file so that it could be imported. For the 7 strings that need to be translated, I'll extract them from the file and attach them here in another small sdf file. Please translate these 7 strings (and don't forget to run gsicheck on the file before posting it here).
