Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 78176
SV: Files for translation update of OOo 2.3
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:20:21 UTC
Swedish: Files for translation update of 2.3 Attached is a .zip archive containing .sdf files to be translated. Some useful information: The .sdf files can be converted to .po files using the oo2po tool and converted back to .sdf format using the po2oo tool from the Translate Toolkit package: http://translate.sourceforge.net/ Documentation with examples for conversion and backconversion is here: http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/toolkit/oo2po Once converted the .po files back to .sdf format, don't forget to run gsicheck on the newly created .sdf files to make sure that they are not corrupted: http://ooo.services.openoffice.org/gsicheck/ Finally, please attach the new .sdf files (zipped, if possible) back to this issue and assign the issue back to petr_dudacek. A wiki page about the translation of 2.3 is under construction, a link will be posted here once the page is ready. Please note that the deadline for translation delivery is July 5. Thanks, Petr

Ok. These are now in our project's CVS tree. http://sv.openoffice.org/source/browse/sv/ The tree's a bit messy though.
Ok. Magnus' corrections are attached. The SDF<->PO conversion seems to work only one way, from SDF to PO, so it is the po-files which are attached. Maybe next time we'll have SDF.

Attachment 46571 [details] (Localization.po.tar.gz) replaces the corresponding file in the earlier tarball.
Hi Lars, the update has just been sent to Frank who will import it. What is the status of the OLH translation? Are you going to attach the translated files as well? Thanks, Petr
What is OLH and where should I look for the files?
OLH = Online Help The OOo_...zip archive attached to this issue contains two files: UI_...sdf - this is the User Inteface - already translated HC2_...sdf - this is the Online Help - not ready yet The po.tar.gz contains only translation of the User Interface.
Attaching UI files for the 2nd round of translation of 2.3. Some important notes: The deadline for submitting translated files back is July 26 at noon CEST (10:00 UTC). A new version of gsicheck is available at http://ooo.services.openoffice.org/gsicheck/ - please use this version for checking the translated sdf files before attaching them back to this issue. There is also a wiki containing more detailed information and instructions: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Translation_for_2.3

Thanks. I have the files now and will try to convert them to gettext (PO). -Lars $ oo2po -i 93824_UI_2007-07-10_46.sdf --language=sv OOo/ oo2po: warning: Error processing: input odf4ms/source/odfpresdll.oo, output OOo/odf4ms/source/odfpresdll.po, template None: 'utf8' codec can't decode byte 0xa9 in position 10: unexpected code byte [###########################################] 100%

Hi Lars, Erik, what is the status of the UI translation? Thanks, Petr
Created attachment 47169 [details] Round 2 corrected
The PO files are now uploaded, thanks to Magnus and in spite of the summer holidays.
Thanks for the files. Just one question related to the number of directories: When I converted the original UI sdf (attachment 46762 [details] here) into po-files, I got 22 directories. However, the set that you provided contains 29 directories. The additional ones are: pyuno sfx2 starmath svtools uui wizards xmlsecurity The thing is that when using the original UI sdf as template for the backconversion, files in these directories are skipped. So the question is, where do these 7 directories come from?
Hello Peter Mysterious; I have no idea. Maybe Lars knows. Regards, Magnus
Not sure where they come from, but it may be CVS. I'm no CVS wizard and one of the shortcomings of CVS is the inability to delete directories. So if I missed the -p option during the checkout AND one of the older versions used those directories, then they're with. Is there an established best practice written up for collaborative translation?
Created attachment 47838 [details] As requested by Sofia: the Swedish UI file with corrections and the Review Sheet with all the errors found
