This is hard to explain but when I hit the delete key to delete text inside a
line of text, it appears as if I can't capture exact letter to start deletion
at; so I end up with letters infront of cursor changeing with each hit of the
delete key: If I try to add space to regain control of cursor; the space is
added a few characters ahead of cursor.

I've attached a file, with the cursor in the third line, inside the remnant of
the word "alignment" if you start typing and/or deleting text the deletes and
characters do not appear where the cursor is...
