According to ISO 4217 MA amendment #138 there will be a new currency in Ghana, effective from 2007-07-01 ID: GHP Symbol: ??? Decimals: 2 Name: Ghana Cedi Does anyone happen to know if the currency symbol stays the same? The old one for GHC Cedi was U+20B5 "₵".
Actually there are 4 locales affected: ak_GH.xml ee_GH.xml en_GH.xml ha_GH.xml

According to ISO 4217 amendment #139 the Bank of Ghana requested that the alpha code be chaned from GHP to GHS.

According to http://www.ghanacedi.gov.gh/ the new currency symbol is "GH¢", respectively "GH₵" when using the real Unicode CEDI SIGN. i18npool/source/localedata/data/ak_GH.xml 1.2.82.3 i18npool/source/localedata/data/Attic/ee_GH.xml 1.1.2.4 i18npool/source/localedata/data/Attic/en_GH.xml 1.1.2.4 i18npool/source/localedata/data/Attic/ha_GH.xml 1.1.2.4
found fixed on cws locales23 using Windows and Linux build
found integrated on master OOG680m1 using Linux, Solaris and Windows build
