Description hansv 2007-06-19 09:14:26 UTC
I have been using OOo fulltime for over a year now. I use it for all my work,
including work for clients.

Because those clients "aren't as enlightened as I am", they still use Microsoft
Office. So I have to convert my document from ODF text to MS-Word.

This is currently only possibly using "save as...Microsoft Word"
*BUT* This also changes the type of the document I am working on to Word.

I want my document to remain the original ODF format and have something like the
"Export as PDF" function to "Export as Word" so that I can continue to use the
ODF version.

I have had several occasions where I continued working in the ODF version and
then found out later that I should have used the MS-Word version.

Now OpenOffice.org is kind of forcing me to use a proprietary standard format
for my original document when I am exchanging documents with MS-Word users.
