It seems that all right to left fonts do not show up in the font picker. That might suggest some common 
cause. 

When choosing arab as the input menu, and selecting these fonts (nadeem, KufistandardGK), the fonts 
work while typing.

Arabic and Hebrew fonts are displayed by name in the font menu in DEV300_m21 (Intel), and they input 
correctly when I enable an Arabic or Hebrew keyboard layout in System Prefs > International > Input 
Menu. I don't have a Hindi keyboard layout, but the Hindi font names display in the font menu.

So I think it's reasonable to assume this was fixed in a later version. I'm marking this WORKSFORME, but 
if it works OK on PPC, it should probably be marked FIXED.
