Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 7900
Crash when samba connection is interrupted
Last modified: 2003-03-13 10:28:46 UTC
Samba connection works. OpenOffice has no ~blabla file. Much better than winword until now! Samba connection is interrupted. User tells to Save but OO refuses, thats still acceptable. Samba connection fine again. User tells to Save again. NOW OpenOffice Crashes no metter which of the apps. This happens with oo 1.0.0 too. ---
Need some more information about the type of installation (Net+Workstation, Minimal, Standard,...), if Net+Workstation...is the Net-Installation on the missing Samba-volume ?, where the file is going to be saved,...
Its the default Workstation Installation. Everything is in C:\programs\ The Operating System is Windows NT40 with SP6. The PC is a VMWare Worksation. Only the file I am editing is on the net via smb. If you can not reproduce the Bug, I will test it on a different real machine and post the result. But first I have to free some space on its harddisk. ---
I have tried to reproduce the "error" with other configurations, but not "succeeded". Only the windows version running in VMWare shows the effect. But, who needs OO on VMware.
Wasn´t reproducible when using an actual inhouse version (644 build).
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
