Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC

Can reproduce with OOo 2.2.1 B 9161 Linux i86 RPM de_DE and OOo-Dev 680_m217. The right-to-left and left-to-right icons won't appear (visibly) in the Formatting toolbar even when activated in Tools > Customize (which is the default). Note this is not due to missing space in the toolbar. Going to attach an other screenshot that demonstrates the problem.

Confirmed.

These buttons only appear when support for "Asian layout" respective "Complex text layout" is enabled in "Tools.Options.Language settings.Languages". MRU->OS: however, if the Asian or CTL support is disabled, the mentioned buttons should also not appear in the "visible buttons" menu.
