Description Olaf Felka 2007-07-05 10:51:12 UTC
- after a download the install button is enabled
- in case the downloaded file can't be installed as on linux the user returns to
the 'heck for Updates ' dialog
- the description box shows 'Could not run the installer application, please run
%FILE_NAME in %DOWNLOAD_PATH manually.'
- the >Install< button is still enabled
- expected: should be disabled
Comment 1 dirk.voelzke 2007-07-05 11:20:16 UTC
This problem occurs only, when the downloaded file can not be 'started'. This
might be a temporary problem and the text in the description box is only a hint
for a possible solution. Therefor I'm against disabling the install button.
Comment 2 dirk.voelzke 2007-07-09 08:47:11 UTC
Set target to 2.x, because this issue needs some more discussing, is ui relevant
and we already passed ui-feature freeze
Comment 3 dirk.voelzke 2007-11-30 10:50:28 UTC
Won't be fixed, because installation should work on linux / unix, too. The other
arguments are still valid too, so user experience decided not to fix this issue.
