Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 8076
Printing multiple copies doesn't work
Last modified: 2005-08-23 23:33:28 UTC
I have noticed that printing multiple copies of a job doesn't work in OpenOffice under Linux, I always got only one copy of every job. Here is a summary of the tests done: - Verified with RedHat-7.3/OO-1.0.0 (Spanish Version) - Verified with RedHat-7.3/OO-1.0.1 (Spanish Version) - I have tried enabling/disabling the option "Collate copies" with the same results. - The test was made with swriter, using simple "one line" documents and complete documents - Also made tests with scalc and several spreadsheets. - This option works fine under Windows98 with OO-1.0.1 (Spanish Version)
I would like to add some additional information, using the PDF converter i got the following results: - Print multiple copies, creates a PDF file with only one copy of the job.(OO-1.0.0/OO-1.0.1) - If I enable the "collate" options, under OO-1.0.0, I got several PDFs, every one of this contains one copy of the job. - Under OO-1.0.1, the "collate" option work I got a PDF with the multiple copies of the job.
Multiple copies sets the copy count in the resulting PostScript document. If you use ghostscript as print filter that will not change anything as ghostscript ignores the copy count. Instead you can enable "Tools->Options->Text Document->Print->Create single print jobs" which will print the document as often as specified in copies.
printing->gsl
reassign
transition from printing to gsl
