Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 81160
Simultaneous file save dialogue box and autosave dialogue box cause lockup
Last modified: 2007-08-31 10:01:52 UTC
Description of Problem: Simultaneous file save dialogue box and autosave dialogue box cause lockup. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Turn autosave feature on (if not on already). 2. Open a new document and type anything. 3. Click "File -> Save As" to bring up the "Save" dialogue box. 4. Do not save yet! 5. Leave the "Save" dialogue box up on screen until the "Autosave" dialogue appears, prompting you to save the changes to "Untitled_". Actual Results: User cannot click on any buttons on the "Save" dialogue box to cancel or complete the save. User cannot click on any buttons on the "Autosave" dialogue box to cancel or complete the autosave. User cannot click on the document. RESULT: User must kill the open office writer process manually, loosing all work. Expected Results: You tell me ;) It seems one of the dialogue boxes should take precedence over the other, allowing you to cancel one of them to complete the other. How often does this happen? My autosave interval is set to 10 minutes, so it only occurs if I happen to try to save a new document 10 minutes after I open it. Additional Information (OS patch level, drivers, library version, etc.) OS: Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 4 Kernel release: 2.6.9-55.0.2.ELsmp Kernel version: #1 SMP Tue Jun 12 17:58:20 EDT 2007 Machine type: Dell x86_64 Processors: 2 x Intel Xeon dual core @ 2.00 GHz 64-bit If you need any more info, please email me.
Has been fixed for OO 2.0. See issue 50651. I'm sorry, but there won't be fixes for OO 1.1.x anymore. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 50651 ***
Closing dup, won't interfere anymore in OO 2.x.
