Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 81519
Loop when open mixing of Thai+English in odt
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:42:46 UTC
I wrote an odt using OOo 2.2 on Ubuntu Feisty Fawn. After upgrading to Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon with OOG680_m1, OOG680_m2, and now OOo 2.3 RC1, the cpu is 100% immediately whenever I open it. I have to kill the process. In addition, recovery process always takes cpu to 100% so I have to cancel the recovery too. Note that I also tried to open this file in OOo 2.3 RC2 on Windows XP. The behavior is similar.
Created attachment 48193 [details] mix thai eng
fme->mru: Loops in icu library, called from i18npool. Please proceed.
MRU->KHONG: this seems to be another regression in the i18n implementation. You just need to open the attached document and wait a few seconds - Writer will loop in the lib FME already pointed to. The document contains mixed Thai and Western text.
problem confirmed.
It would be nice to solve this problem before OOo 2.3 final version since it often makes me lost my works even in Presentation.
The tree for OO 2.3 is closed, can only be integrated in OO 2.3.1.
Fixed in cws i18n38.
ready for QA.
