I find that when I install OOO 2.3 RC 2 on my Windows XP machine, the software
crashes. The software  becomes unresponsive and will not open after going from
calc to draw or base. I get a error report after restarting my machine asking
what I was doing when the error happened. This happen every time that I attempt
to use the software.

Could you tell us whether the error report form is from Windows or from
OpenOffice.org?

One issue might have been enough. Please add the informations to issue 81513.
Have you tried to rename the OOo folder in your Windows 'Application Data'
directory before Office start?
