Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 81949
CSS for OOo's Wiki
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:32:07 UTC
This is the some modifications I made to the OOoWiki. This CSS will add the OOo tigris-like CSS to mediawiki. The css still in alpha stage. I suggest to test it and give feedback. I am still working on inserting the OpenOffice.org logo into the span of the page. I also suggest to add the OOo favico to the wiki URL.

Created attachment 48494 [details] Fixed some style on the top toolbar.
I'm not really sure one would want this ... Personally, I find the Wiki's appearance more appealing than the default OOo site layout. In particular, comparing http://www.oooxtremo.org/test/mediawiki.html (the sample site you pointed to in a mail outside this issue) with http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Main_Page, the latter looks fresher to me.
moving to website project...
we can discuss this on the list, if it's not already being discussed there... Louis
it was discussed last week and the consensus was that we should try it. Can we move forward with this and have it on the meadia wiki skins.
I read over the discussions.... FS, I think you should raise your objections on the dev@website list, not here, where the audience is too small. Alexandro is correct: there was positive consensus. We can always further edit the look, of course, but for now, I see no compelling reason not to use the proposed look. Stefan, as you control the wiki, am assigning this to you... :-)
Created attachment 48828 [details] Just replace WIKIROOT/skins/myskin/main.css with this file.
There is already a running version of the CSS on a MediaWiki at: http://jza.homelinux.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
Hi, Do we have an update on this task?
Thanks for taking care of the themes of OOoWiki.
Created attachment 51317 [details] Logo proposal
Created attachment 51319 [details] Wiki logo proposal #2 takes the oiginal design on a smaller version.
I have placed the new proposed logo onto the test Wiki. There is an error in the SVG file regarding a missing linked image.... so maybe something is missing? I notice that the OpenOffice.org part is missing. Is that intentional? or is that the missing linked part of the SVG?
Good point the OpenOffice.org part was a png that was inserted. I should replace it with an SVG OpenOffice.org logo. Just a question which one did you used from the two I upload?
Created attachment 51413 [details] Fully SVG icon
Created attachment 51414 [details] fully SVG for proposal #2
I uploaded the new version of proposal 2 (I picked this one because it is closest to the original logo). Proposal 1 can also be easily uploaded if someone wants to see it in place. I tested the pages on Firefox, Opera and Konqueror in Linux, and everything looks OK (logo in the right place, page elements behaving correctly etc.) I tested the new layout on Firefox and IE6 in Windows. Firefox on Windows rendered exactly the same as in Linux. IE6 though, as usual, is broken: - The Logo image is layered on top of the "article" and "discussion" links. - The line under Heading 1 ends up on top of the elements on the right side of the page (instead of under like on all other browsers). I cannot test IE7. Someone who has access to this browser should take a quick look and see if it is also having similar issues.
But MonoBook looks fine in IE6 in the old as well as in the new Mediawiki instance.
