Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 82964
no caret in OOoBean using jdk6
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:08:44 UTC
while OOoBeanViewer works normally with jdk1.5.0_12, it seems to have severe focus-related issues when run with 1.6.0_03-b05. In fact, I am unable to write text inside the document. Steps to reproduce: 1. run OOoBeanViewer from the 2.3.0 sdk with oo 2.3.0 and jdk 1.6.0_03-b05 2. click "new document" -> "text document" 3. click inside the text document and try to insert text Expected result: a text caret should appear and letters you type should appear, too Actual result: a click inside the document only results in flickering, no caret appears. Letters you type do not appear in the document
that is no prio 1 issue, i changed the prio to 3 jsc -> jl: can you take care of this issue when you have time
This is fixed in the 2.4. Please try out the latest developer build and also have a look at http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OOoBean. If the issue still exists reopen the issue.
.
Still does not work with 680m233(Build:9228)
oops, sorry, it does indeed work with 680m233. I forgot about a line I inserted earlier while I was trying to find a workaround for this issue with 2.3.0. System.setProperty("sun.awt.xembedserver", "false"); changed it to "true" and it works! thanks!
You'r welcome.
