Description harshthebarsh 2007-10-25 10:32:54 UTC
while OOoBeanViewer works normally with jdk1.5.0_12, it seems to have severe
focus-related issues when run with 1.6.0_03-b05. In fact, I am unable to write
text inside the document.

Steps to reproduce:
1. run OOoBeanViewer from the 2.3.0 sdk with oo 2.3.0 and jdk 1.6.0_03-b05
2. click "new document" -> "text document"
3. click inside the text document and try to insert text

Expected result:
a text caret should appear and letters you type should appear, too

Actual result:
a click inside the document only results in flickering, no caret appears.
Letters you type do not appear in the document

This is fixed in the 2.4. Please try out the latest developer build and also
have a look at
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OOoBean. If the issue still exists
reopen the issue.

Still does not work with 680m233(Build:9228)
Comment 5 harshthebarsh 2007-10-29 14:28:56 UTC
oops, sorry, it does indeed work with 680m233. I forgot about a line I inserted
earlier while I was trying to find a workaround for this issue with 2.3.0.
  System.setProperty("sun.awt.xembedserver", "false");

changed it to "true" and it works!
thanks!
