Description joerg.skottke 2007-10-26 08:32:58 UTC
When starting a patched (OOG680m7, systemwide installation) office from the
console on Solaris (Sparc) we get following errormessage:

(soffice.bin:11280): Gtk-WARNING **: ld.so.1: soffice.bin: Schwerer Fehler:
Verschiebungsfehler: Datei /usr/lib/libfontconfig.so.1: Symbol
FT_Get_BDF_Property: referenziertes Symbol nicht gefunden

jsk->pl: Is this a stopper? Test environment is available.

not a stopper, as most of the gtk works flawlessy (you can see from NWF). The
assertion indicates that the fontconfig library on the system is broken, most
likely a mismatch with the freetype library. We once brought our own freetype
library, but this is not the case anymore.

The final nail in the coffin for me however is the fact, that any proper gtk
application on that machine (e.g. gedit) shows the exact same behaviour. This
makes it a problem of that machine, not of us.
