Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 83057
compressed view of Print Layout
Last modified: 2008-10-31 13:26:47 UTC
In Microsoft Word there is a function which is very usefull, I think. It is the capability to hide upper and bottom margins with header and footer content. During this the layout is kept "printing layout". If I click in MSO on the gray gap between two succeeding pages then - the gray gap - the headers - the footers - and the upper/bottom margins of the pages disappear. In this way I can see more from the interesting part of the document and the other parts are hidden. If it is needed then I can switch back easily to the earlier view by clicking on the thin line between adjacent pages.
Reassigned to HI.
Guys, is there anything happening with this issue?

I'm not sure this is a duplicate. 4914 was looking for a text-only view without graphics, headers, margins. This one just calls for the representation of the gaps between pages and the margins to be shrunken to make better use of screen real-estate. Those seem to me to be different requests.
