Adding any extension via the extensions manager results in freezing the office
UI. You have to kill the process but the extension will not be installed afterwards.
I did not try to install an extension via cmdline.

Using 'unopkg add' works without problems, i.e. the extension can be installed
successfully, so it seems to be 'just' an UI issue.

the deployment components try to show UI from another thread. Causing a view or
a window to display makes Cocoa execute this call in the main thread (where the
cocoa event loop is running) while the originial thread waits. This however can
lead to deadlocks involving the solar mutex.

fixed for now in CWS aquavcl05

I test this Issue in version m28
(OOo-Dev_DEV300_m28_MacOSXIntel_AQUA_install_en-US.dmg) on MAC OS X 10.5.4.

I test the Extension "Professional Template Pack II - German" from Professional
Template Pack II - German. I could install this extension without problems. I
tested after the functions by I open File -> From Template... . In the dialog
were the Templates installed.

This Issue can therefore are closed.
