Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 83515
patrially loss of new default fontsize after restart of OOo
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:56:01 UTC
When settig up to wirte in a big size (like 32) and saving it, the next time the formula editor is started the normal chractars appear in 32 but special characters appear in the old default (12 I think). One has to edit the fontsize again manually.
I do not understand, what you are doing. Where do you set the font size? Please give a step by step description. Be aware that a formula is an OLE-Object which has its own font settings. There are indeed problems with font size of formulas, a search will lead you to several issues, for example issue 26446, issue 5092 and issue 42119. Please have a look at them, your problem is covered likely by that issues.
I also cannot reproduce the problem. Please give a more detailed description or attach a document where the problem occurs. Thank you for supporting us!
Ok, you're right: it is not clear, what I actually mean. To see the bug you have to do the following steps: - lets assume, you want all formulas to be in 32pt size - when formulaeditor is started, you open Format>Fonts Size... and select 32 for Base size - you press Default, to save it as default. - Now you quit all your OO windows. - restart any OO application and open a formula-Editor. - write something like (A) - the "A" appears in 32pt the "()" appear much smaller (12pt I guess) To achieve that the "()" are shown in 32 you have to change "Size" to any ohter value, then press default and then change it back to 32 again and press default. Everything will be then 32pt in size for the particular session. And the next time you start an OO application you will have to change perform this operation again.
I confirm the problem with OOG680_m8 under Kubuntu 6.06
MRU->TL: set a new default font size in "Format.Font size". This will only be partially persistent when restarting OOo. Enter (A) and see that the brackets re-gained old font size.
.
Fixed in CWS tl50. Files changed: - starmath/source/node.cxx TL->jeck: Thanks for finding this one!! I do not understand how it could exist unnoticed for so long. ^^'
TL->MRU: Please verify. Thanks!
Verified fix in CWS tl50.
Checked in DEV300m24, but should be in product since DEV300m11.
