Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 83725
Crash when adding custom toolbar in active OLE mode
Last modified: 2009-07-20 14:54:08 UTC
Steps to reproduce: - Insert an equation in a Writer document. - Math editor will open up. - Personalize the toolbars. - Add a new toolbar. - The dialog for adding a new toolbar will come up. - Press the ok button and voila... you have crashed OOo :-) Reproducible in OOo 2.2, 2.3 and 2.3.1 RC 1, running on Windows Vista, Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux. If you do the same by directly opening Math it will work ok, so the crash may happen for the application trying to add the new toolbar to Writer instead of Math. I also sent a crash report from OOo 2.3 providing troodon@openoffice.org as email address.
Found an old fixed bug that may be related to this one: issue 59075
MRU->CD: not only a Writer/Math problem - creating a new Toolbar during OLE mode crashes Writer. Tried also e.g. with an active Impress OLE in a Calc document.
Changing to P2.
cd: Set target to OOo 2.4. cd: Fixed now. The layout manager has to check docking window references before calling any method.
cd->es: Please verify. There is no crash anymore. The custom toolbar will be created for the container module. That's the normal case as the "Tools" menu is bound to the container module.
Where I can get SRC680 m238 so I can verify this is fixed? The most recent build I was able to find in the mirrors is m235. Thank you.
It's not yet fixed *in* m238! It will be (probably?) integrated into a 240, 241... which does not exist yet.
@es So I'm ahead of schedule :-). Thank you for the clarification. @cd Thank you for the fast fix.
Verified in CWS fwk77
As reporter, confirming this is fixed in SRC680 m242. Thank you!
This issue is closed automatically and wasn't rechecked in a current version of OOo. The fixed issue should be integrated in OOo since more than half a year. If you think this issue isn't fixed in a current version (OOo 3.1), please reopen it and change the field 'Target Milestone' accordingly.
