please compare formatting in attached file in ord 2000 and oo 2.3
There are some differences who makes that file unreadable in some parts, because
embedded images are over text. 

What's wrong here?  Trouble in openoffice or corrupted file?

I use oo 2.3.1, but couldn't select it in version dropdown box.

MRU->FME: see mentioned doc on page 2. The table will split up right below first
row. This will influence the rest of the layout (graphic/object positioning).
When disabling the widow/orphan control for all paragraphs in the table, it will
not break in the mentioned point and the layout will be ok again.
