Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 8477
OSX builds are missing complex script support
Last modified: 2003-03-12 14:40:17 UTC
The latest build for OSX, do not have any complex script support, therefor preventing OO to be used with languages like Hebrew or Arabic. Both the windows and the linux versions have that support build in to them, so in that way osx is way behind. Compare, for example, the language db from linux: http://forums.ort.org.il/files/307/1573767/8882245.png to the one from OSX: http://forums.ort.org.il/files/307/1573768/5275022.gif The lack of complex script support is very apparant.
DL->MH: Would you please takeover?
Hi, I can't open these URLS, but are you sure that you are comparing the same versions of OpenOffice.org. If you mean current, do you mean 1.0.1 for both platforms ?
since the MacOSX porting group is not yet on the 643 codeline, i mark this as invalid. as soon as the porting group switch to a newer codeline, script support will be available.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
