Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 84923
Is there a single point from which I can handle my subscription to mailing lists on OO.o ?
Last modified: 2021-05-27 19:28:19 UTC
I have familiarity with Mailman which I've found allows me to change/modify the subscription e-mail and other related things for a single mailman which has multiple lists. Does the same thing happen on mailing lists for OO.o ? Season's Greetings

Hi St, Thank you for contacting CollabNet Customer Support. Based on the information that has been provided to us, we will initiate our research & provide you an update as soon as we have adequate information. Thanks, Pritha Support Operations
Hi St, This feature is currently not available in Ooo. This is effective in Rubicon Discussion services. In which you can see the list of all the Discussions you are subscribed. You will be able to view all the discussions by clicking on "Mypages" where you can see "My discussions" which shows all the Discussions you are subscribed to. Thanks, Pritha Support Operations.
Not quite what I was looking for. Let me break up the query. For example, https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo provides the complete list of all mailing lists hosted on that server using mailman. [1] Does the current system for OO.o provide anything similar (ie without visiting individual projects and sub projects for figuring their mailing lists)? [2] Assume I was subscribed to 10 lists from that URL using an address foo@bar.com. Now I wanted to change my subscription globally to bar@foo.org. I can do that by logging into the system for changing the preferences for one list and then applying the settings globally. Does the current system for OO.o provide anything similar ?
Hi Sankarshan, [1] Does the current system for OO.o provide anything similar (ie without visiting individual projects and sub projects for figuring their mailing lists)? << The current system for Ooo does not provide an option to figure out the mailing list without visiting individual projects and sub projects. [2] Assume I was subscribed to 10 lists from that URL using an address foo@bar.com. Now I wanted to change my subscription globally to bar@foo.org. I can do that by logging into the system for changing the preferences for one list and then applying the settings globally. Does the current system for OO.o provide anything similar << If you are subscribed to the mailing lists as [username]@openoffice.org, then changing the email address in your profile will be a universal change but otherwise it has to be done list by list. We believe that the above information would have helped you in understanding. Please feel free to get back for further queries on this regard. Thanks, Pritha Support Operations.
Hi St, Can we please have an update on this. Thanks, Pritha Support Operations
If you are subscribed to the mailing lists as [username]@openoffice.org, then changing the email address in your profile will be a universal change but otherwise it has to be done list by list. The above does not seem to work :)
The described behavior (2) fulfills sankarshan's request. But it's not yet implemented. I understand that it is part of a future version of the site framework CEE.
Hi St, Yes, if you meant to see the list of all the mailing list we are subscribed to, then it is effective in Rubicon. We believe that the information provided by us was helpful. Can you please let us know whether you have further queries on regarding this. Thanks, Pritha Support Operations.
Marking this issue as resolve later. Support will continue to monitor the issue internally and review it in the corresponding release. Thanks, Pritha Support Operations.
Hi This feature is fixed in Rubicon and I have verified the same on a test box carrying the latest version. I shall close this case for now. Please feel free to re-open, if the functionality does not satisfy your expectation when site gets upgraded to Rubicon version of CEE. Regards, Vathsan Support Operations.
CollabNet Support is currently reviewing the issues under Resolved-Later. If the issues are fixed currently in any of the present CEE releases, then it will be marked as Resolved-Fixed. There might be a few issues which might not be in our future roadmap which might be closed as Wontfix unless it does not lie under any custom request.
This is available in Rubicon, hence marking it as fixed.
