MRU->FME: see attached document. The "spacing above" wil not be applied anymore,
if the preceding paragraph is hidden. Compare the difference when toggling
"non-printing characters".
Maybe this is related to issue 78896.

lijian->fme:
I will work on this issue and report my progress later.
Comment 6 jian.li 2008-04-03 08:25:19 UTC
lijian->fme:
But do you regard this as an issue ?
For the last paragraph in the section,
space below will also not be applied.
Comment 7 frank.meies 2008-04-03 10:05:35 UTC
fme->lijian: Well, I'm not sure. Have a look at the attached bugdoc. There are
three paragraphs inside the section, the first and the last are hidden. If the
paragraphs are hidden, the spacing above attribute of the second (non-hidden)
paragraph is not applied, whereas the spacing below attribute of the second
paragraph is applied.

lijian->fme:
Hi, this is one rough solution from me. There are still many problems with this
patch, especially when doing "undo".
Addtionally, even without my patch, "space below" is also buggy.
With your bugdoc i85056, uncheck "Non-printing characters" and increase the
"space below" of para "In2", the increased values will not be applied. But when
you check "Non-printing characters" again, all will be OK.
For all of the problems above, I will spend more time on them,
while your suggestions on this patch will be welcome. :-)

fme->lijian: I'll assign this issue to you as long as you are working on it.
Comment 12 Mathias_Bauer 2009-01-27 13:09:04 UTC
lijian, I assume that you are currently working on other tasks. As the patch
obviously in not ready for integration and it is your own patch, I've changed
the type back to "DEFECT".
