Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 86293
addin functions in Calc
Last modified: 2008-05-13 08:10:44 UTC
There are several *_ADD functions in Calc. Help says these functions need installed analysis addin to work. In reality this addin is always installed with Calc and was deselectable in times of setup application. So this sentence in function description may be a bit misleading.
This is, I think you can remove variable string in 00/00000001.xhp with par_id 3154471.80 (and all inserts): "<variable id="add">This function is only available if Analysis AddIn is installed. </variable>
Users can still choose to not install the Calc Addins in the "user defined setup". I try to compile a list which Addins that are.
ouch, really, in windows it is possible...
With the introduction of packages (RPMs, Solaris packages) on Unix platforms we have differences in module selection between Windows and Unix. Windows offers the same granularity as in SO 7. But we did not want to create a Unix package, that contains only one or two files, because this would lead to a very large number of packages. Therefore we lost a little bit of this granularity on Unix platforms and offer only one package for example for Calc.
I will remove the "This function is only available if Analysis AddIn is installed." notes in CWS hcshared17
Fixed in CWS hcshared17
Please verify in CWS hcshared17. Open Calc help, index "add-ins;functions". No more text about optional setup option.
