Hello,

the following bug was reproducing according to a description on the German dev
Mailing list (original author: Wolfram Brenig, subject "Impress:
reproduzierbarer Absturz").

It was reproducible with OOo 2.4.0 RC 1.

How to reproduce:

1. Load the attached file
2. Select the rectangles
3. Choose Tasks - Custom animation - Modify effect - Add - Exit - Special: Fade out.
4. After selecting, immediate crash follows without leaving the dialog

Detailed crash report from inside OOo crash reportert was mailed a few minutes
ago (Email ooo@ostkamp.fastmail.fm).

Suggest to consider this bug as blocking point.

I can't reproduce this issue with a m247 on windows.

I can not find a recend crash report under that mail. Did you get a confirmation
mail with an id? this would help

I tested it with the latest version on Linux (Suse), Solaris and Windows and I
don't get a crash.

I can't reproduce the bug and I get no crash report therefore it  is not
possible to fix the bug now.
Please send me more information so that we can fix the bug.

I have a file which have similar problem (Kubuntu 6.06). It is a ppt 
presentation converted to odp. The crash of OOo 2.4 RC1 occurs when starting 
slideshow. If I remove animations it runs well. If I try to define new 
fade-out animation OOo 2.4 RC1 crashes.
The ID of the error report is rwxvr9.
