Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 86382
Overwrite PDF w/out confirmation
Last modified: 2009-03-21 06:10:41 UTC
To replicate (similar to Issue 85031?): 1. Start OpenOffice Writer 2. Type in some text (e.g., asdf) 3. Save the file (e.g., asdf.odt) 4. Click the "Export Directly as PDF" icon 5. Click OK (uses "asdf.pdf") to export then close the dialog 6. Add more text to the document. 7. Click the "Export Directly as PDF" icon 8. Click OK to export then close the dialog ACTUAL RESULTS The file "asdf.pdf" was overwritten with the new content, without first confirming that the file "asdf.pdf" already exists as a PDF. EXPECTED RESULTS After step 7, try clicking "asdf.pdf" before clicking OK. Then click OK. A confirmation dialog appears. I would have expected the confirmation dialog to appear regardless of whether I clicked a file name or not, since the PDF was existing on disk.
Reassigned to HI.
@thangalin: You really only see that behaviour in WRITER? If not, I see this as a FRAMEWORK or UI issue. Pls. contribute Information concerning your LINUX distribution!

Modify Platform to "All" due to Issue 90380
Reiner, could you reproduce it? for me the confirmation works. PL: Do you know this problem?
no but that would be a framework issue
I checked with "2.4.0 Multilingual version German UI WIN XP: [680m12(Build9286)]" and can NOT confirm the reported effect, but it's a LINUX bug.
I can't confirm this on OOo 3.0.1 on Linux with native or OOo dialogs. It also does not happen for me on Go-OO build so I think this problem may be resolved with 3.x?
Is fixed under OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 (only verified for Writer, but should be fixed for all).
