I can establish tunnel, but I can't log in. 

 for tunneling
 > ssh -2 -x -L 2401:localhost:2401 tunnel@openoffice.org

 porinting CVSROOT
 > export CVSROOT=:pserver:ameliawang@localhost:/cvs

 log in
 > cvs login
 
 return message:
 Logging in to :pserver:ameliawang@localhost:2401/cvs
 CVS password:
 Fatal error, aborting.
 ameliawang: no such user

What do I need to do ?

You can't commit because you have only "observer" status in the SW project. You need to obtain the 
necessary permissions from the project lead.
