Description icyfeet 2008-04-03 14:49:27 UTC
Drawing a rectangle I only get lines with drawn through lines and no dashed ones.
Circles are OK
Comment 1 wolframgarten 2008-04-03 15:01:46 UTC
Please give a detailed step by step description of your action. I cannot
reproduce the problem. Thanks!

I made a screencast so you can see what I mean and what I do:

I could hardly see the video, it was some kind of distorted.
What I figured out:
You insert a circle from the basic shapes toolbox, change its linestyle via
 This works.
You insert a rectangle from the basic shapes toolbox, change its linestyle via
context menu/line into dashed. Nothing happens. Correct?
Unfortunately this cannot be reproduced here, everything is fine. Do you use an
official build from OOo or from some other source? I would recommend an official
build.
Comment 4 icyfeet 2008-04-04 18:08:19 UTC
You got it right.
Yes I use an official build.
And I'm still running Kubuntu 6.06 if that matters.
Comment 5 icyfeet 2008-04-04 18:11:27 UTC
By the way:
When I select a rectangle with rounded corners which I make to a absolute rectangle (with no
rounded corners) it also works.

Comment 7 wolframgarten 2008-06-16 15:19:04 UTC
Still not reproducible. Does this still occur for you with the latest official
build? Thanks in advance.
Comment 8 icyfeet 2008-06-16 15:49:05 UTC
Tested it again with 4.1 and 3.0beta:

4.1 works, but 3.0beta has the behaviour again (no dashed lines).
Comment 9 icyfeet 2008-06-16 15:49:20 UTC
Tested it again with 4.1 and 3.0beta:

2.4.1 works, but 3.0beta has the behaviour again (no dashed lines).

Could this be related to issue 86163?
Comment 11 wolframgarten 2008-07-02 10:23:12 UTC
If a screen refresh helps it is the same problem: CTRL+SHIFT+R.

Comment 13 icyfeet 2008-07-02 12:52:40 UTC
CTRL+SHIFT+R doesn't help in 3.0beta.

But an additional info:
There are dased lines in the "overview" at the left side of draw, but not on the working space.
Comment 14 wolframgarten 2008-07-10 12:22:14 UTC
Sorry, but this seems to be a problem that is not reproducible in any way. So we
cannot do any fixing here. I fit is possible I would recommend a complete
reinstallation of the Office here.
As it cannot be reproduced I close this issue for now. Feel free to reopen if
you have nay more info. Thanks for your help.

Even though my original issue 89067 was not redraw-related as claimed for
issue 86163, my problem which was introduced with update 10 has been solved
with the new update 11 for StarOffice 8 (which solves issue 86163).

Thanks for your comment. Nice to hear that it is solved.
